The Outhouse

by Glenn G   Dec 18, 2016

When I was a boy
My grandparents had an outhouse
You dig a big hole and cover it with a small house
You shit in that hole 'til it can't hold anymore
You then dig another hole and move the house

Many days I feel like that outhouse
People keep shitting on my life
But when I get full
Nobody bothers to move me

Most strangers will find another outhouse
But family and friends can't seem to move on

    Glenn,

As serious a subject as this is for you and as much as I certainly understand this sort of feeling, I couldn't help laughing a little as I read simply because of the rather blunt and original simile of comparing yourself to an outhouse that people use but never move!

A sad and funny sort of write, if that any sense at all.

    All the very best,

    Ben
