Maybe, someday

by Em   Dec 19, 2016

If I could be, well anywhere
then, in your arms I'd be;
if in your arms, my love was kept
it would rest quite happily.

If we had forever,
I would cherish every day;
our hearts burning eternal,
until the world turns grey.

If you were to leave me,
my heart's flame would never die;
burning for you, still brightly,
until, the seas run dry.

    3rd line of last stanza might flow better like this:

    Burning for you, still brightly

    As everyone is aware I do love a bit of love poetry and I really love this write Em, especially the tempo, this is the type of write that needs to be read slowly and absorbed and the word choice and punctuation controls the reader to do just that. great job and nominated.
