An Orange Man

by Everlasting   Dec 28, 2016

I was peeled
into the shape of a human:

------ with legs spread
------ open
------ and arms
------ long enough
------ to carry
------ fiber
------ in my stomach

But deep down:

------- I was round,
------- so round
------- that I used to rolled on my tummy to exercise,
------- and no matter how hard I tried
------- to scape the hands of death,
------- I couldn't.

So one day,
after I had a heart attack:

-------- I fell
-------- from the counter top;
-------- straight to the floor.
-------- That's where
-------- a mother picked me up.
-------- I was taken
-------- into an emergency room
-------- where I went through a surgery
-------- that saved my skin
-------- from being tossed
-------- into a trash can

Now:

-------- I can happily
-------- show her kids
-------- That with love
-------- even
-------- an orange
-------- can walk.

Written back in 2013. Inspire by a picture of an orange peeled into the shape of a human. I can't post the pic.

But here is a link to one similar picture that I found online

    Lucero,

There is rarely anything 'sane' about your writing- it is always weird and wonderful.

    All the best

    Hello Luce,

It's good to know you were crazy back in 2013!

I think you left the word 'be' out of this line:

that I used to rolled on my tummy to exercise,

also, unless a play on words, cirgury is a typo.

I like this a lot, Nominated!

    Take care,

    Michael

But what are you talking about? Lol
I was way too sane back in 2013...
