Another Somber Night

by Maple Tree   Jan 7, 2017

Feeling air wisps tickle her nose
much like a cold night freezing,
she somberly gazes upon a starry night-

while the owl soothes her teary thoughts.

It was a balmy night dusting,
but she couldn't let him go
for her thoughts were filled
with dew drops from a lonely
leaf;
that dusted his pant leg a year
ago before.....

before he lay to rest under the tree
which holds the leaf...
which catches the dew
that is filled with her tears.

Andrea, this is yet another sad but delicately written piece by you that I'm sorry I missed
    Such beautiful yet sad imagery.

    Maple,

The delicacy of your writing and the sadness that often drips from it never ceases to capture my imagination and break my heart simultaneously.

    All the best as ever,

    Ben

Andrea, just beautiful. So much sadness in this write but everything just circles so beautifully together, so much like the circle of life. Hugs-
