Finding Peace Without

Everything in moderation
is what they always say

Just have a drink maybe two
then put it all away

Something sweet after lunch
can really top the meal

but can you really stop
after you broke the seal

A pint of Ben & Jerry's
is hard to put away

If it was only sold in gallons
It might last till the following day

But I don't stop at one or two
or only sample a bite

I drink it all and eat it all
That's the fight I fight

No sense of self-control
so I should abstain

Finding peace without
is the gift I must obtain
