I'm Sorry

by Theoretical Thespian   Jan 30, 2017

In the turning tides

Absconding from man's reach
Merciful mothers watch over

Silver streams of water
Opposing obedient oars
Raft rowing against rocks
Racing and reaching
Yearning and yondering

Frivolous and flippant
Obeying its own objections
Reasoning racing off

Helpless and hopeless to
Upturn unpleasant urges
Retaliating against the ruse
Traces of remaining surges
Instilled in our ill hearts
Nudged against navigating nurture
Guilt, not gone, great torture

Yet I, yielding and yanking
Overlooking observations
Upon those in need of thanking
