certitude

Repentance didnt help
nor did self destruct
because she'd lost
all the built up trust.

This heavy heart
loving again, how?
It's wavered so long
so I ask why now?

She'd found her knight
though she was no fool,
she'd learnt her lesson
deciding to play it cool.

Her mind contorted,
her heart full of desire
made his attention
set her body on fire.

Those first few lines reeled me in and then I get to this bit and it hit quite close to home. I had to pause and re-read them several times-with chills and goose-bumps, might I add.

Your rhyme is fluent and your word choice excellent! Very much enjoyed reading this beautiful piece, Em :)

    Take care!

Em, your rhyme is effortless - I find this difficult to do sometimes. I think thats why I choose free form so often.

Nice compact stanzas which are easy to read. Well done. x
