Resurrecting Me

by Sean Ash   Feb 5, 2017

How can one change history without changing the truth of what has been written? I wish I knew how to bring the best parts of me back from the dead. To revive a great and noble character. A highly respected and most trustworthy individual. It would be like bringing Lazarus back from the dead. I guess sometimes it helps to accept that what's written is written and what's dead is dead. If that is fair, then by all means continue with the story. But I don't have to like it, and I don't have to love myself anymore for it either.

Personally, this feels more like prose or a microstory to me, but that is a good thing, I promise. I love the tone you gave through the Lazarus line and the way your emotion oozes from every line without having to directly state how you are/were feeling. Your displays of voice and self awareness are incredible in this and I truly enjoyed this heartrending read.

    Incredible write.
