don't leave me

by Phil   Feb 10, 2017

There comes a time when we all lose someone we are close to.
I always wonder how I would survive without you, my dear sister and I know I never could.
I look at you strong on the outside but inside you're riddled with disease
and I wish I could take it from you but the fact is I cannot
which saddens me because I'm your brother, your protector
but I cannot protect you from this though I can love you as I should and I do, alot.

Seriously, stop being daft. I will survive and don't plan on going anywhere yet anyway

Phil, I really liked this a lot. It's sad but warming because it's your sister and you would do anything for her including taking away her pain. Hugs to you both-

Phil, there are times to speak in metaphors and similes, but this poem speaks as it is. Life is cruel, but the human factor cannot be underestimated. We have the will to force the hand of fate and forge a new destiny. Supporting one another, especially siblings is a cause worth fighting for - worth loving for.

    Thinking of you both ((hugs))

A sad piece indeed. If this is about our mutual friend on site, then I can only hope this 'disease' is a metaphor for depression and nothing more serious...mind you, depression is often fairly serious itself.

All the best to you and yours, Phil.

Unfortunately no metaphors' were used in this but the best wishes are appreciated from you both.
