For some reason I got the feeling that you were talking about an elderly person who's confused about what happened to their loved one. Perhaps someone with dementia? Someone who would find it hard to comprehend exactly what's happening. Just my thoughts on this lovely, though tragic, story.

Thank you Ben, Hellon and deeplydesturbed for your kind comments.
The poem was quite an old one I'd wriiten a long time back now, and was based on a true story.
(it wasn't anything to do with someone suffering with dementia! lolol! Hellon, you have made me laugh! Thankyou!)

Sir, I believe this is the first I have read from you and I have to say that it was a gripping from the first line, flow and word choice are spot on I'm so glad I stopped by.

    All the best

Peter, I always love your writes. They are emotional and more or less always reduce me to tears and this was no different. I guess many people can relate.

The title says it all really. Up in the clouds, how we all wish we could be in the tranquil setting at some point or is it more like "oh your head sin the clouds" ? We'll soon find out when we read right?

1/ What a beautiful place this sounds like. I imagine all lovers living happily ever after, forgetting all their worries and hardship, forgetting all their wrong doings to each other and just enjoying every minute of every day together.

2/ Promises can be made but not meant to be broken though often they are... Why so i say this? I'm not sure but it's the first thing that popped into my head. To be with the one for all eternity is a wonderful feeling and one which we all should be able to have, no matter how long it takes. More fantastic imagery.

3/ This brought tears to my eyes and to lose the one you love is devastating but to lose them even when they're there is even more horrofic and I don't know which is the less of two evils.

    Take care, Em
