Broken Heart, Clinging Memories

by Kryptonite Dreamer   Mar 3, 2017

Writers,
We all have the same purpose,
We want the world to see our mind,
See our thoughts that we don't show,
We all just want to be heard,
But what happens when we're broken,
We keep writing,
So no one can see how truly broken we are,
Externally that is,
We stay up late for those messages we used to get,
When there's no message,
It just turns into sulking,
Where it just turns into a poem,
We write our favorite memories with that person down,
And that's the premise of a poem,
Like the nights where we would just talk for hours about nothing at all,
Or when we would sing to each other,
But every good story has to have an end,
Whether it benefits them,
Whether it benefits you,
Just stick to what you do great at,
And for me that's writing,
Colloquially might I add

Yes, you are right, but for me, it's a bit different, I wrote about others stories. Mostly, about the people I meet in daily life, but at the same time each one of us shares the same emotions.

When we are hurt, we cry; when we are loved, we smile.

But the process is the same just as you described in this poem. I write their feelings on my iPad.. And try to give them the shape of a poem.

Wow...these first few lines are everything! I love this! There is so much raw truth in your writing that you shed some much needed light on. Whether it's good or bad...such as finding new love or getting our hearts broken... writing is our passion... and the one outlet and vice we can turn to over and over again.

    Fantastic job and well done!

So true, so very true. We write, we write for all the good things and the bad that happen in our lives. Well done-
