Fiery visions (Sonnet)

by Michael   Mar 9, 2017

My dreams dwell, in a conceptual state.
Sharp images seduce, my resting mind.
Abstract symptoms of an infectious trait!
My body is seething a feverish-kind.
I wake, into an, unethical daze,
My torso, steeped with a harsh-blazing sweat!
I sense my way, in this chaotic haze.
I lay still. Take heed of this sultry fret,
My soul is entering a zealous vent.
My cleansing lies so deep, within my heart
I will seek out purity, and not repent!
My conscious-in-unconscious. I will plant
This grim, toll of such ramification
My journey of detoxification!

Nicely done, I too am not the sonnet wizard, but I do like what I read. You told a story and your rhymes are spot on. Well done-
