Happy Little Thoughts

Waking up to see
Beautiful rays of sunshine
through the window.

That sigh of relief you exert
When you wake up
and turn to see that you
Still have five more minutes of sleep
Before you have to wake up.

Singing along
when your favorite song
comes on the radio.

Waking up after
A deep slumber,
and taking that first sip
Of coffee.

When you open up
A book that you randomly found
On a bookshelf,
Then, after reading a couple of pages,
You immediately fall in love with it.

That glorious feeling
When you embrace yourself
In fluffy blankets
Fresh out of the dryer.

When someone loves
The same nerdy things
As you.

When you search your
Fast food bag
And find some extra French fries
At the bottom
When you thought there were
None left.

When you get a call
From an old friend
That you haven't heard from
In a long time.

Slipping into your pajamas
After a long day
At work.

That glorious feeling
When you embrace somebody
You have missed
For so long.

The beautiful feeling
of coming home
To the person
You love the most
