One man's pleasure
Is another man's pain
One man's blood
I'm another man's vein

One man's poison
Is another man's meat
As you spike that vein
As that spoon you heat

The pain may please
The poison grows
As the chemicals surge
In your blood flow

You seek to find
A reason why
But the simple truth
Take drugs you die

    Authors note.

    I wrote this when I was in my early 20's after learning that a childhood friend had died from an overdose.

    The ending isn't strictly true but for so many it often is.
