Fragmentation

How much longer must you haunt
my brittle bones?
Your name seeps through
to my skin-

toxic and unapologetic.

I'm glad my poem was inspiration for this, like everyone else said, you've nailed this! Short yet gut-punching!

I was not prepared for this piece! I LOVE the brevity. It took my breath away yet at the same time I craved more. The sound of "brittle bones" said aloud was somehow satisfying. Just the depth of what that means. From one end, I can see this being a person, yet I can also imagine this as being the name of a feeling, of a loss. The toxic part reminded me of Britney Spear's "toxic" (I know, way off topic).

    Anyway, refreshing write!

As always with your writes this is fantastic.
When someone gets under our doing and into our hearts, mind and soul no matter what they did to hurt us, we can't let them go completely.
