Dark Oceanside

by Maple Tree   Mar 25, 2017

It was impossible for these eyes to wish upon a star-

That came and went, like all the others before.

I sang to the moon,
It echoed my melody
In unison with shaky vocal chords
upon a Summer's Eve redemption.

Forgive me Mother Earth,
my tongue speaks what my heart does not...
Will I ever find closure to midnight?

"My child, the scales way heavy with heartless gold upon your soul

and midnight knew your path lead elsewhere"

I began to understand the messages that
rattled my spine like a seashells whisper.....

Midnight forgave me, I'm no longer afraid of the dark.

Amazing. This write is totally you. I find myself talking to the universe too. The answers don't always come immediately but they do come. Even when we're run away with ourselves.

    Love this write Syrup :)
