Dance Like Your Alone

by CJ Maleney   Mar 25, 2017

You never dance anymore
Though you know that you can move.
You hold it back embarrassed,
But still you feel that tune

Your singing voice Is good,
Yet it is seldom heard
But you sung in choirs as a boy,
Although lost within in the herd.

To old you think
To boring and too subdued,
But you know that you can still belt out
Am amazing heartfelt tune.

It's not too late
You are not dead and gone
Love the music love the song
Sing and dance, like your alone.

Love this!!! It reminds us that while we get older we can still do the things that we used to love. We should not let life get in the way of doing what we love.

Craig....as im sure your aware i am a fan of your writing, you are incredibly diverse in the subjects you write about which is freakin awesome ( and something I myself need to work on) and like most of us, your writes vary in length...with this one....it is short but has a very powerful msg within on that firstly alot of people can relate to and secondly one that can actually show people and make them think and maybe change something about their life they don't like.

As B said this is a very inspiring write and I think Is my favorite of yours to date (added straight to my favs) your meter and rhymes are spot on and you totally hit the nail on the head. killed it!

Craig, a inspiring write. We all need to live a little. We get caught up in the day to day and all the stuff that bogs us down. Although I have NO singing voice I still sing along, in my head I am a-m-a-z-I-n-g....lol. Well done-
