Ballast

by Aegis   Apr 11, 2017

The wind is roaring through my ears-
mesocyclones fill my ribcage and
lift my hollowed bones
skyward.

If only I could cut ties while
we cut ties-

perhaps then I wouldn't be
ensnared in all these
branches.
