Broken and fallen.
Hopeless and lost.
You gave me a life that is
Filled with our ghosts.

Seeing the way
That you spun on a sixpence,
Lying and laying;
Your attitude flippant.

You came, and you saw
Then you conquered my world.
You let me believe that I
Could be your girl.

But, twenty six years after
I fell in love,
You're finally free,
My feeling rebuffed.

Hmm, can I move on?
Thorns have stabbed through my heart.
But I can learn. You
Will always be an arse.
