No choice

by Beautiful Tragedy   Apr 26, 2017

Here's the thing;
I can't act like I don't miss you
Because I do.
I miss you so much that I fear that if you were to come strolling back into my life
asking me if I want to try again I'd say
Yes.
I miss you so much that every time
I hear your name my heart drops from my chest and into my stomach
With a disappointed thunk because I know that what we had is probably over.
I miss you so much that even the worst waves of anger over what you have done cannot even drown out the
Pain of what it feels like to miss you.
And I miss you so much that when I close my eyes at night and your face flutters
Across my eyelids even for a split second
An immediate stream of tears come
Rolling down onto my cheeks.
I do miss you,
And that I will never be able to deny.
But I have to move on,
Because news that you did has gotten to me;
And I don't have any other choice.

    I know what that's like, sometimes it's best just to pick yourself up and move on... time will lessen the pain you feel. And I also know what it's like to be the one left with all the feelings. I hope that things improve for you and that your heart heals. My ears are open if you need someone to listen.

    I have a rule in life for everything, work, relationships, etc.
    'NEVER go back'.
    Because back always leads to the same old problems re-emerging. No matter how hard you try to paper over the cracks, they keep coming through. Thats just me!
    I hope you manage to move forwards and find new experiences that pale the last one into insignificance.
