What a cloudy dilemma...

by Everlasting   May 2, 2017

When you are not near,
I miss you as much as I miss the clouds on a raining day;
It's as if your presence pours all over me,
Yet it seems that when I feel that way,
all I wish is for some winds to come and steer the clouds out of my sight
so as to think that if the sun were to come out,
I might then miss you as much as I would miss those clouds
that used to provide me with some shade.

    I love this and how you really did carry the clouds and the rain and all the symbolism tainted truth throughout the entire (short but thorough) piece. Almost all of your pieces amaze me in some way or another, and for this one I think it's how you managed to be cliche' without obviously being cliche' and how beautifully you walked that line. Great write!
