The best part

I didn't want to leave you last night,
I wanted to stay right there
Right where I know that I am safe
and cared about.
I wanted to continue to cuddle up next to you on that couch and listen
To your heartbeat drum in the most
Beautiful song I'd ever heard.
I wanted to stay in the moment of when you kissed my forehead lightly;
And instead of butterflies taking flight I was utterly calm and comforted.
I didn't want to leave your side for
a single second;
Even when I ran down the hallway to
Jump on billy but he wasn't paying attention
and so I fell to the floor in pure laughter.
And I definitely didn't want to walk six feet down the street to my ride home;
Leaving you with billy so you could go to the casino.
But even after all of that;
the best part of the entire night;
Was looking down at my phone to see
a text that read:
"I miss you already."
As soon as I was out of eyesight.
