An important piece of poetry that is cutting in its delivery.

    All the best,

The old shackles of iron, could never be bent.
you could try to twist and turn them
    Your efforts enormously futile, wasted.
    All your energy spent.

    Somethings can't be manipulated.
    Sometimes they just need smashed
Break that chain destroy that link
    But still remember your past.

I felt I had to reply to this for two reasons.

    1. Old iron could not be bent, twisted, or prised apart. But with enough force it shattered easily. (God I'm a geek) later day forging methods made it stronger.

    2. And the most important reason to respond.

I have two adopted children, yeah they're not my blood but they are still my kids. I love em to bits. I am nothing without them, even when we clash. This is often and I wouldn't have it any other way, because they know that even when we do and they realise I'm right and they are wrong !

We have true family love !

One day I will be wrong and they will be right ! I can't wait for that day.

At that point I can say "ya know what Craig, ya did ok there".

Until that time comes I'm gonna wind em up and annoy em as much as I can,

It's in the unwritten rules of dad.

    Craig

Ps. God help my daughter's first boyfriend ;-)

Pps. Dam right this is in favorites as I need to read things like this, if only to know I'm not alone in my thinking

Dear A.R your passion is well founded. It shows why you are a poet. A damn good one I must add.
