And this is one thing I've missed, poetry like this ... Anyone can be beautiful if they look deeper within.

    Much love

Yes this is ao true! I love the metaphor you used here Ben and i think a lot of people at least for me can relate to this.

How we perceive ourselves is different than how other people see us and that is true. When we look into a mirror reflection we see our flaws on the outside and think negative things. But when that person comes along and changes things we see it through their perspective. Inner and outer beauty are two completely different things and i think that is whst you were going for here. Its hard to imagine when we think we are a beast as you say that someone who we think is beauty can fall in love with us. Its sad to say that in this world now outer beauty comes to the for front but inner beauty doesn't matter. But it does. But a lot of people disagree.

There is nothing i would change within the structure of the poem itself. It is well written and has all the things needed to be a senryu. Flows very well. Again i love the title very much because it fits the poem very well !

I liked this poem. Few words but deep meaning Most people only see their faults and sometimes they get lucky and start to see their beauty and the good in themselves through the eyes of another and believe it.

Ben, Me old fruit, I love this write, truly.

The obvious metaphor is spot on and conveys the sentiment perfectly, I couldn't help but reflect on this inwardly and I found myself pondering all sorts of this.

It's funny that this brought to mind something someone said to me once which is kinda the reverse of this sentiment.

"Even the prettiest flowers can be poisonous"

I'm rambling so this must be good lol

Excellent write as always and saved to favs to ponder later.

Thanks, Ben. If my senryu got you thinking, your comment got me thinking in turn. I guess, what it boils down to, is that there is prettiness in ugliness and ugliness in prettiness; things aren't necessarily what they appear to be.

    Crisp and amazing.

The 'Beauty' may create a paradigm shift, but will it be real ?
-maybe if the ugliness too is appreciated.

A pretty piece that makes you think about the ugly, hard to confront reality.

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder and sometimes that
beauty can only be seen by another good heart-ed person. For the
inner beauty always shines brighter then the outer one I guess..good one!

It is true, but never be as beautiful as this poem of yours.
