Ahhh. I suddenly wanted to cry. This was such a painful piece. The structure was great, but I am deeply affected by the content. It was romantic but very sad.

      Thank you mossgirl,

Yes sadness can come from beauty. Expressing feelings is what brings a piece together in its entirety :)

    The wind came whispering; purring
    empathy into my ears

    ^^

Michael, the whole poem is wonderful but that line is sublime.

    All the best

Wow Michael, so much sadness and melancholy, but also this feeling of completeness when your lost love came to visit you on the nighttime breezes. Beautifully penned.

    WOW!!! MICHAEL!!

This is such a beautifully written and awe inspiring write!! The imagery and word choice are superb!!

    "The wind came whispering; purring
    empathy into my ears
    of my shared sorrow.
    Cordial swirls comforted,
    Soothing my solitude.
    Caressing my madness."

    Oh I have chills!!! Fantastic!!!

A breath of fresh air has so much sadness and pain.
The words are so soothing to read and then move from one verse
to the other smoothly making it such a lovely read but within this
    sadness lives and breathes...touching write.

    Congrats on the Win!

    Judging comment

A romantic poem of yearning extremely well penned. To my mind you are becoming one of the more accomplished poets on this site. Your use and knowledge of the English language is evident to all. There is good imagery, stanza’s are well constructed and contain some great lines. The use of “twitched” in the second stanza comes to mind, loved that!
