Friends in Strange Places

by Tony   Jun 8, 2017

Thank you for reaching out to me
Helping to "nurse" a broken heart
I guess I just need time to grieve
And one day, I hope, restart

I've spent so much time on this
Its so hard to let her go
Dreaming of that perfect kiss
I had never gotten to know

Then there is the other one
Who lied through all these years
I'll never truly be free of her
The dust just never clears

To my smart "Alec" counterpart
I have so much to say
I'll leave it at this...
If ever in Detroit we'll play

Two unlikely friends
I may have never met
If I had never come back
To this place to help forget...

Love this write, Tony :) Chin up! You know someone once told me to keep trucking forward, and that the strong ones are the ones who fight their way against the tide and make it to shore. Stay strong, hon.

    ...And I give this piece |infinite love buttons| <3

Wow. I loved the love in here. I think that you two are really meant for each other - to be good friends. It was evident the first time you had that poem 'war'. I think you can do that again, so hopefully, you will. Much love, Tony.
