Long Live the Bat: Part 2

by Alec   Jun 11, 2017

*Collab with Tony*

Robin no longer wearing red
Embraced by wings of night
Silently from on high he falls
Into the edge of the gunmans sight

He wants the bastard to see it coming
As fist fractures a face
Gunman no stranger to fighting
He pops his jaw back into place

''Looking kind of scrawny bats''
And then he charges in
Tumbles end over end
With batarang embedded in his shin

Wet thuds echo throughout
The alley with every hit
The only thing holding gunman up
Is the zeal of the young knights grit

Unconscious before he hit the floor
Robin's face looks very grim
A voice in his ear asks if he's sure
Curtly responding ''Its him''

A nervous voice hesitates to ask
''What are you going to do''
Tear filled eyes through gritted teath
''What Bruce would want me to''

Gunman upside down and gift wrapped
Commisioner removes his hat
Offers up a solemn prayer
For Gotham, ''Long live the bat...''

Ahhh, this is awesome! The last line! I feel like this should accompany a comic panel.

I actually am not a fan of Bat-man but I must say this is an awesome tribute. So I will join in saying, "Long live the Bat."
