Where You Are

by mossgirl19   Jun 12, 2017

I stare into the same blankness
But tears do not gush from my eyes
Simply because I do not cry.

I have temporary stops
In breathing
Because what was we
Is gone.

I push back every
What-if before it
It cuts me,
Push back every
Invitation
To love you.

Simply because you can slip and stand up
While I have forever slipped into a hole
Far, far, far from where you are.

Nothing has to be forever Mel, we usually dwell somewhere because of our fears of change :)
