'Tis the Season of Remembering Me

by nani   Jun 12, 2017

This seems to be the hardest time of the year for me
The Month of June seems to be full of catastrophes
Heartaches every time I see someone's heart break
She's crying over his hospital bed, take away her pain for goodness sake
She says her goodbyes as he lays in a coma
Her boy is in a corner scared for him and his momma
He found him on the bathroom floor
"Dad get up you're blocking the door!"
At fifteen he doesn't shed a tear
Because dad told him, if something happens to me, show no fear
She looses her husband and he looses a dad
He'll never get to see him walk across that stage with a gown and a cap
The autopsy won't give them peace of mind
They just want to see their loved one one more time
'Tis the season of losses and remembering
All of the wonderful things that came before June, before they were taken from your family

**To the families who have ever lost someone and to the ones who have lost a father before Father's Day.**
