The Untitled Poem

Wake up without purpose
Back to bed to slumber
Wonder if my tall nose
Is going to stay forever.

I never saw myself aging
While looking at the mirror
But time sure is raging
I didn’t see it clearer.

What does happiness mean?
The dictionary can help me
I wonder if I’ve ever been
Coz it says, “State of being happy.”

Talk about loneliness
Looked up the book once more
‘The absence of happiness.”
I think that’s what I’m for.

Smiling is an exercise
Not something I’d like to do
I’m faking it to be precise
For the longest time I knew.

Call me a liar, I’ll take it
Coz’ it’s my only truth
I am rooted in selfish ego
Deception is the fruit.

When crazy gets me
I’ll do one stupid thing
I'd check my back for batteries
In case by them I was living.

Mechanical toys never die
Such is a curious case
I am a lifeless machine
But death is on my chase.

Am I a stupid player?
In a stupid mindless game
Should’ve known it earlier
And bothered not for pain.

See, I am still talking
Quite useless words
And I am still giving
A damn for the world.

Where do I begin?
To end this hopeless musing
Maybe back to the beginning
Twenty-six years and still breathing.
