Opposite Balconies

by ddavidd   Jul 15, 2017

Me and you
two shadows on one another’s walls,

the damselfly’s wings
of a mutual glance
flickering across
our eyelids,

fluttering
on the crayons
of one another
balconies,
brimmed over with lilacs
and lavenders,

on the echoes
of the opposite wings
forever ensnared
like a bird
between two mirrors.

    Very breathtaking imagery...close to perfection.
