You stand far apart
yet so close…

filling empty sentences
from the trail of crumbs
left behind

you read the knifed paper
committed by my pen

and grasp the silent slice
in my life,

You stand far apart
yet so close…

gathering the moods
I’ve sewed with a heavy heart

to my slurred lines
you’ve sprinkled rhymes

holding its value
in your eyes,

You stand far apart
yet so close to my heart

I dare not dream
my wishes or let them fly

for I fear the bridge
between us will shatter

bringing an end to all our ties...
