Roses Made of Glass

The heart yearns to speak a secret love
But with no mouth words stay hidden
Attempts drowned by the harsh beating
Struggles are in vain as it picks up pace
When you sneak into my head unexpectedly
Sentences start to form on the tips of my lips
You make me so nervous, I took too long
To learn how to put them together and fit
They fell to the floor wasted and useless
My tongue trips over unspoken thoughts
Words don’t seem to come out evenly
Like when bambie tried to walk at first
It’s a struggle to even look you in the eyes
Afraid my feelings are displayed on my face
It seems the whole world knows except you
I finally fought through the gray clouds
Waited out the rain with my umbrella
And just as startling as I fell for you
The sun came from behind the clouds
So when you ask me what I’m thinking
Throw you pad and pen away because
Words simply cant describe complexity

Nani, this flowed very smoothly and you have wonderfully conveyed that feeling I think every one of us had been through. It's very lovely, a real pleasure to read.
