Approaching storms

Birds on a wire -
frenetic from the
approaching rains.
My teeth hurt-
not sure if it's the
chaotic winds
or me just clenching them.
-
The winds normally
soothe me-
today they set my nerves
on edge.
The stresses of long ago
have surfaced
once again-
They mess with my
inner peace-
playing havoc with the
delicate ecosystem
I have fostered
for many years.
I thought those demons
had been laid to rest?
Same stresses, different reactors-
-
I hate allowing
These feelings
to creep in, settle down,
get cozy...
can you not see
what I am becoming?
Silently screaming
rage builds inside.
I've left before-
my core carved out
like a husk
taken with the winds.
These same winds
that signal this
approaching storm...

    Brenda never stop writing you sure have a way of doing so. It does help to release stress which we all have to deal with especially where the past is concerned. It Don"t take much to trigger it. You are s strong women
