Black and blue (collaboration with Maple Tree)

by Em   Aug 28, 2017

It seems like a lifetime ago now
but she was strong back then
that is until life became turbulent.

She gazed upon black clouds, forming
into fists upon her face,
It was a painful rain that summer;
one she will never forget

monsoons of love oozed from her heart
but he was a time bomb waiting impatiently to erupt,
but only in one place, behind closed doors

~ no one knows what happens~

But she does,
you can see the cracks within her smile
fear within her hidden tears and
If you look closely, the broken soul
will appear in the shattered mirror.

    Ladies,
This was well spoken, a sad reality for someone who's experienced violent behaviors. The world needs to read more pieces written about the silent terrors of a "black and blue" soul. Thank you ladies for this brilliant write.

Andrea - thank you for asking me to do this I must say it's one of the best collabs I have done and one I am.proud of because if it makes one person realise they aren't alone then it's a job well done. It was a pleasure to work with you.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments they truly have made my heart warm.
