Maple tree, words can't describe how powerful this poem is. It describes a mothers pain, your pain so accurately. Also how a momma will do anything, anything for their kids

Andrea I have no words for this other than glad it's nominated and I send my thoughts your way. If you hear the wind whisper it's me sending encouraging words and if you feel it on you it's me giving you a hug to give you extra strength.

Oh Andrea, my heart goes out to you. There's nothing worse trying to deal with a child's addictions and the helplessness that you feel. I know you will move mountains to get your baby girl safe again. I'm sending you strength and love...hugs to you-

    Andrea,

This was obviously a difficult write, especially since it's so personal. You are the most strongest and intelligent woman I know, your sweet birdy is lucky to have a mother like you. Very powerful and courageous write. Love this :)

Andrea...as a mother you will NEVER give up on your child no matter how overwhelming the situation. This was such a heartbreaking poem but also a reality check for a lot of people. I can only hope your little bird will finally find wings and fly back into your arms...

Drug lord's and Pimps" By Maple Tree 7 points

I was totally blown away by this piece by Maple Tree, such raw emotion, and power so eloquently expressed.

One should never underestimate the love of a parent and the lengths they will go to go order to protect those they care for.

    Simply wonderful writing (7)

Andrea I had to hold back a little on my comments with regard to this one.

    I know you understand.

Andrea always writes with such rawness that resonates with many of us here but with such beauty that many of us wish we could write with such power because it's very touching in it's profoundness. It speaks of the lengths a mother would and should go for her child and the woes they feel when their child has taken a wrong path in the winding road of life which in itself must have been hard to write but Andreas strength prevails and in my opinion that makes for a much better and smoother write and read even if it's a literal and raw write - I applaud you on your bravery for writing such a powerful piece and allowing us to read it too. Now where's the tissues?
