When You Rain

by Alec   Aug 30, 2017

*Dedicated to my friend Tony*

From your bleeding heart
Pumps gouts of beautiful verse
And through your wrist to parchment
Tears of wisdom are dispersed

To us all who soak it up
With wide eyes and in awe
A skill that far exceeds my own
With every word you scrawl

It may be selfish to say
But I'm glad you're in this pain
For when the storm brews in your mind
On us you make it rain

And we bask in that torrent
Your downpour mixes with our tears
And alleviates weight in our hearts
From our own mirrored fears

May peace find you soon

    Well done Alec!

All we need love and support in hard times. A shoulder to cry, a heart which can listen our silence.
