Between our Lips

by ddavidd   Sep 5, 2017

There is a desert between our lips
that cannot be satiated
by all the springs, all the rains
but only
by a kiss,

the wetness
that turns
all the tumbleweeds
all the lizards
to nightingales,
all the withered thorns
to raspberry,
all the boulders
to choristers,
all desires
to serenades,
and all the arid rocks
to melting
sugar lumps.

A flavor of passion, tender and soft without saying much.
Its all in the choice of your words and the way you have laid
    this write...passionate!

This is a temptation as well, dear Frank. Nothing is ever so plain with your words..much more a kiss.
