Journey's End

by Ben Pickard   Sep 6, 2017

Once more,
I will coat my harp with the
crispy dew of an Autumn morning,
so when winter comes, my fingers
will freeze to the strings
and pluck the icy notes
that plague my heart
until summer
dawns again.

Then,
I will circumvent the moon's feeble utterings,
and harken to the sun's enchanting song instead.
