September Night

by Nicollo Machiavelli   Sep 13, 2017

Sound of waves breaking,
Along this shore.
Light pinkish sunset fading,
Its starting to get dark.
Autumn starting to settle in.
Weather is cool,
Winds are a light breeze.
Constellations changing,
Circumpolar stars remaining.
Moon in it's last quarter.
Light music plays,
Heart is at ease.

I love poems about the seasons blending into one another because this is what got me started in poetry lol, so this definitely has a spot in my heart without even reading it all the way through. And once I finished reading the piece, I fell even more in love with it, because other than the every line starting with a captial letter thing, this was incredibly well penned and because of its short nature, the lack of stanzas worked incredibly well. The images not only created a scene, but they also helped bring your voice into the piece, and I enjoy how clearly and seamlessly this happened.

Excellent write. I'm glad I stumbled across this.
