Game Over

by DeviousCharmer   Sep 19, 2017

Caught my attention
Now you're in my sight

Watching each others moves
Waiting for tricks

Getting close
Testing limits

Reaching
But not close enough

Clinging to your words
Trying to stay cool

Forgetting what's around me
Enjoying the distraction

Losing control
Slipping up

Head and heart in the game
Sweating with anticipation

Waiting for your next move
Contemplating mine

Hooked

Calling out your name
While you ignore me

Standing in silence
Taking in confusion

Seems you couldn't be further away from me
Searching for warmth
Only finding ice

Nothing to you
A simple chase

You've got what you wanted
You won the game

Oh the woes of dating. You have captured very well the emotional roller coaster experienced when people play games. Its a sad state of affairs that too many people play games with others emotions and its usually the nice guys and girls who get hurt. A nice piece. Milly x

Oh this is clever! That game .. the chase, whether played consciously or not! Brilliantly worded :-)
