Better The Devil You Know?

by Kitty Cat Lady   Oct 3, 2017

The effort of terra incognita
Holds us back from making change
Even though sometimes inevitable
We'll resist what's new or strange

It's scary to stop and change the route
Who knows what we'll find there
Much easier to carry on this path
It's familiar, though going nowhere

Even if the situation is dire
We know this devil now
We've learned his tricks and foibles
Grown used to discomfort somehow

A change brings unknown issues
New devils with which to acquaint
Easier surely to just stay put
Plod along without complaint

But along this path are options
Though insight you'll have to forego
Should you strike out for pastures new?
Or is it better the devil you know?

Oh yes!!!! Even if the path we are taking is treacherous we still bloody continue on it because we as the human race more or less hate change I for one do anyway and regardless of whether it's good or bad for me I will not steer my path unless it's necessary lol

    Take care

I don't know it's in the nomination or not but if it is, could be on the front page next week without a doubt.
