Consume Me

by shadow   Oct 6, 2017

You clawed away at my masks
Layer after layer had been shed
I let you cut at my soul
Until every raw wound had bled

You hungrily ate away
At the dark parts of my heart
Devouring it bit by bit
Until it all fell apart

You tried to tear at my roots
Oh what little did you know
You may have what you want now
But you will reap what you sow

Ha! That's the way you go...hehe. I love this. I felt the pain with your great imagery and the ending hits hard.

Ooh OUCH! This is dark but brilliant. You've depicted the raw pain perfectly! :-)

The second verse had so much emotion within itself.. Very relatable. I enjoyed reading this due to the rhythmatic flow. Great write indeed.
