Love, romance /
As I make this voyage home,
Of you, I do implore:
Do not think once that you're alone -
'midst every cloud I soar.
On snowflakes and in drops of rain,
My eyes still burn and shine;
In every golden barley grain,
The nourishment is mine.
So when the candle's flame retreats,
And when the darkness falls,
It's in the ether we will meet
And break these ghostly walls.
When water freezes, hearts will melt,
And yearn to be as one.
I now find life in what death dealt
And thrive beneath the sun.

Great work Ben, with my Faith I staunchly believe that true love lives on even after death as our Souls and Spirit's are immortal. Your poem plays this out beautifully, a typical Ben work indeed!

Another excellent piece. Great rhyming and as always superb imagery and emotion. Glad to see it has been nominated. Milly x
Thank you, Milly.
This is a melting write, Ben. It melted my heart because this is a sad piece but with a heart-warming end. Beautifully rhymed too.
Thank you, Mel. I hope you took what I thought you might from it.
Dang Ben, this is amazeballs! Every piece you write just keeps on swinging for the fences. I really need to know how your brain works-it's crazy good!
Thank you, Brenda, but you don't want to know how my brain works, lol
Your love for the sun battles on and again in this wonderful piece. I can feel a yearning cry!
Nice rhyming poem
Thanks for your time as ever, Michael
