Heartbeat

Romeo and Juliett,
The exception,
Not the rule,
I miss feeling loved,
Caught in warm embrace,
A sense of perfect belonging,
But now the pain,
Makes up images in my mind,
Forcing questions to the fore,
Will I ever love again,
Or can I even trust,
Can part of me be saved,
Or is is it forever dead.
