To Survive in Each Other

by ddavidd   Oct 12, 2017

They're all real.
though we are not able to hold them
between our fingers.
They're so colorful,
they're so short lived,
they're
butterflies,
of
the most beautiful times of our lives.

But if we catch them
they would wither.
If we don't capture them
they would disappear in blank.
Then we would burn and wither
in their reminiscence.

We
must forever
furbish the feeling of their flatters!

We must prolong our own forlorn being
to chaperone
the paradise of their wings,

so they do not die so soon,
so we
and they
would forever survive
in each other
like the wings of
a butterfly!

David, the language you use in your poems, it is from the garden of eden.
