Gravity

Around our axis we rotate
Almost 1000 miles per hour
You would think centrifugal force would spin us off
But we are grounded by a power

The gravity that holds us down
Is calculated at ten metres per second squared
If you plummet at this speed
Your life will not be spared

My world is somewhat different now
As it lacks a certain kind of hold
But still I will not fly away
To the universes dark enfold

I will spend my time upon this globe
Watch and witness, nature take its course
I have no cause, effect or input now
In this I have no choice.

My world will never be the same
It doesn't matter how you flip or spin it
It will never be like it was

! Because you are not in it !
