I wish to vaporise

by Purvi Gadia   Oct 24, 2017

I wish to vaporise -
to turn into a million little something that swirl in the atmosphere unnoticed.

I would be the dust that gleams in the sunray that quietly penetrates through your window.

I would be that soft dew
that touches a select few
flowers in the blurred mists of mornings.

If something different,
I could be the flower seed that dances its little steps
as it oh-so-softly touches everyone in their sleep.

I wish to be here
and there
and everywhere;
unseen.
But known
and remembered.

    Wow.

    I nominated this right away, and then went to read it a second time. This piece is powerful, that strong desire to be something so much greater than ourselves is poignant and potent; to touch lives all around the world, to leave our mark and be remembered for the great things we have done. That understanding that it isn't always the outrageously large structures that we remember, but the flowers, the stars (which to us, are small), each water molecule, the small interactions that make our lives better ... your meaning was purveyed wonderfully.

    Brilliant write.
