Part Three

by deeplydesturbed   Nov 7, 2017

To my dearest daddy

Today is six months gone
Since I tried to die
Through the last few months
You keep trying to appologise
For the way you sunk into yourself

To my dearest daddy

Today I’m twenty two
Yep it’s been twelve hard months
Each day you check on me
Remind me of your love
I feel we are closer

To my dearest daddy

These years are flying by
With their ups and downs
Drinking and depression
Time with and without you near
You’ve never let me down

To my dearest daddy

I am a few years older now
You could almost say I’m wiser
But I’ll always need you
No matter what words escape my lips
In a moment of anger

To my dearest daddy

I’ll hold you on the highest level
Remember each and every word
For every little girl
Holds every man in her life
up to her daddy’s standards

To my dearest daddy

Our story isn’t over yet
Here’s to the many years to come
All that I can say in this moment
Is I love you very much
And thank you for remaining you

    Happy Birthday N!

You are a beautiful soul, and this three-part poem that spans many years of your life just reinforces my love for you! It's always a pleasure snapchatting you, and I'm glad that we were able to meet on here. Perhaps one day I'll travel to Australia and we will get drunk together, but for now I'll have to tell you to just keep kicking, just keep swimming, and just keep being you.

    Much love,
    S

Your love for your daddy spanned a lovely three part poem! Must of been hard to write such an honest, raw reflection of your life's events and this treasured relationship to you. Big hugs!
