This is a great piece of writing that outlines a grate authority in the subject language.

Yeah we are...and the lost poets find each other and we talk about life, nature and tipples.

    Love this

Tipples have always been one of my favourite topics, Maple, absolutely....

Poetry is all about language and you mastered this one. I guess you are right when talking about lost. Take care

Damn Ben, blown away with your words. Life is hard, getting through a day sometimes is just about impossible. You have put this struggle so eloquently. Hugs my friend-

Wonderful imagery, metaphors and story in your piece.
The power of the 'molten lava' consuming everything in its path- very well descripted

    Mr Pickard,

I bet that if P&Q allowed anonymous submissions, I could probably still tell your writings apart from all the rest. Like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai have their signature sounds; you have yours in writing - and what an f-ing sound your writing has.

Stanzas 2 and 3 have got to be two of the best I've ever read, with this little gem being the heart:

"and I drown in verse that was never mine to inherit;"

High school English classes taught us to look for symbolism and the like to find the "true meanings" of the works of famous poets long passed, but I would gladly wake you from the dead to find out this one's true meaning so as not to do it any injustice.

I only wish it was I who nominated this piece. Keep writing, my friend :)

Poignant imagery, and an effective way of articulating the struggle. Really loved stanza 2

This is beautiful, uncle Ben. You should really teach me your ways and techniques. It seems magical to me that you tend to always bring out the best in everything.

Thank you, Purvi, but you need no lessons from me.
